Ibadan – A Non-Governmental Organisation, Heavenly Culture World Peace and Restoration Light(HWPL), says it is evolving strategies to promote global peace.
Man Lee, the Chairman of HWPL, in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) in Ibadan on Saturday, said the organisation was committed to peaceful coexistence in the world.
“It is our belief that a new approach must be evolved to pursue international peaceful order,’’ he stated.
He said peace-building is a common purpose of the global community, adding that the role of religion should be that of a bridge-builder of peace than the core of conflict and violence.
“Peace-building is not an individual task. Our orientation must be focused on peace,’’ he said.
He explained that the organisation had embarked on a project to entrench everlasting peace across the globe.
“The effort is to put an end to war across the globe and make a foundation for everlasting peace. We all must embrace peace as a solution by becoming messengers of peace.
“Youths and women are the main scapegoats in war, but in this reality, we must face the fact that youths and women are voluntarily standing at the forefront to build the foundation of peace with HWPL,’’ he said.
NAN reports that HPWL is an international organisation under the UN Department of Public Information.
The group with 1800 stakeholders in governance on March 14, 2016 held its maiden Annual Commemoration of Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War in Seoul, South Korea. (NAN)
