NHIS urges Sokoto communities to join scheme

Sokoto- The District Head of Gagi in Sokoto city, Alhaji Sani Umar, said Gagi District Community Development
Association would partner with National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to enable members of the union benefit from the scheme.

Umar said this on Sunday during a meeting between officials of the association and the NHIS team aimed at assessing the level of preparedness of the union to access the scheme.

“The Scheme will surely be of great benefits to the people of this community and will be of greater help to the less privileged among us.

“The Association has in line with the policy of NHIS finished all arrangements in order to benefit fully from the scheme,” he said.

Earlier, the NHIS Team Leader, Alhaji Sale Ibrahim, expressed satisfaction with the level of the association’s preparedness to join the scheme.

Ibrahim called on other communities in the state to also form associations in order to benefit from the scheme. (NAN)
