MINNA – The Niger Governor-elect, Abubakar Bello, on Monday pledged to run an all inclusive government in the interest of the people of the state.
Bello, who made this pledge while briefing newsmen in Minna, said his administration would be just, equitable and opened to all, irrespective of the religion, gender and social status of the people.
He said that his administration would not continue to rely on allocation from the Federal Government but develop and rely on its abundant human and natural resources.
“We will serve the people faithfully and embark on the task of charting a more effective and sustainable development for the state,” he said.
He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting free, fair and credible elections.
“I thank all the supporters of our party, APC, for choosing me as your governor, your collective contribution has made today possible.
“I thank the police and other security agencies for ensuring an atmosphere conducive for peaceful elections.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
“I thank the traditional rulers, the media for objective coverage, civil societies and youth organisations for the role they played during and after the election,” he said.
Bello also commended the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate for their sportsmanship during and after elections.
