MINNA- The Igbos in Niger State demanded a slot in Governor Mohammed Bago’s cabinet. The governor has appointed Mr. George Dike as Special Adviser on Inter-Tribal Affairs.
The governor also appointed 25 other persons as Special Advisers in other areas of engagements. The list includes men and women from the state.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Bologi Ibrahim, made this known in a statement which he released on Monday evening.
This brings the number of SAs to 30 under the Bako administration.
The governor, while congratulating them, said their appointments were based on their track records.
He called on them to give in their best and bring to bear their wealth of experience for the growth and development of the state.
The 25 other appointees are: Mohammed Kolo (Political Matters), Mohammed Mariga, (Legislative Matters), Barr. Manko Bagudu (Legal Matters/Government House Counsel), Mohammed Nda (Economic Matters), Isah Audu (Public Service Matters), Adam Erena (Labour Matters), Dr. Isah Adamu (Governance and Reform), Hon. Abdulmalik Dakachi, (Traditional Institutions).
Other appointees include Kabiru Abbas (Project Monitoring and Evaluation), Umar Abubakar, (Policy and Strategy), Yusuf Kolo (Heinous Crime and Substance Abuse), Alqassim Abdulkhadir, (Inter-Governmental and Development Partners), Hauwa Mohammed (Social Investment Programme), Ndajiya Nma (Solid Mineral/Bida Basin), Habila Daniel (Ecological Matters).
Also on the list are; Mary Noel-Berje (Women and Affirmative Action), Ibrahim Panti (Ward Development Programme), Hannatu Salihu (Girl Education Initiative), Jonathan Vatsa (Public-Private-Partnership), Baba Ndaman (Sustainable Development Goals).
The rest are Mohammed Wakili (Security Matters), Abdullahi Suleiman (Sports Development), Dr. Mahmud Mamman (Planning and Statistics), Tsalha Buhari )Sanitation Matters) and Remi Makun (Corporate Social Responsibility).
