Minna (Sundiata Post) – Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has inaugurated two committees namely: Niger State Economic Advisory Committee and Niger State Water and Sewage Corporation Committees.
The governor appointed Dr Suleiman Ndanusa as chairman of the Economic Advisory committee while Engineer Inuwa Musa Kuka heads the Water and Sewage Corporation.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said the Economic advisory committee is set up to consolidate on government economic policy prospect and challenge. The committee responsibility is to advise government on relevant macro economic and sectoral policies and strategies for the attainment of desired goals in the state.
The governor while inaugurating the committee charged the members to help appraise government approaches and proffer recommendation on how best to improve the revenue base of the state and reduce over depends on the allocation from the Federal government.
Governor Sani Bello said the measure is to ensured sustainable provision of regular water and improved Sewage service in the state.
The governor further explained that the members are expected to bring their professional wealth of experience to bear in effecting critical reforms towards transforming the water corporation into a commercially viable.
