The Management Committee of Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna on Saturday urged members of its Supporters Club to desist from acts capable of tarnishing the image of the club.
Dattijo Aliyu, the Chairman of the management committee, made the call in Minna, while inaugurating a 15-man new executive for the club.
Aliyu, represented by Alhaji Abubakar Sayutti, a member of the committee, said that this was to enable the club regain promotion to the premiership, next season.
“You have to be patient to enable us achieve our desired goal of gaining promotion back to the premier league.
“You have to conduct yourselves well, in order to attract more members and also educate fans on the ills of hooliganism,’’ he said.
Aliyu, who assured the supporters of the support of management, added that the management was ready to support the club in all its activities, particularly for the common good of Niger Tornadoes FC.
“I urge you to carry all members along and don’t cause any division, as the team’s strength lies in the supporters club,’’ he said.
Responding, Ibrahim Katu, the Chairman of the newly-elected executive of the club, assured that members would do everything to ensure that the club gained promotion to the elite division, next season.
