ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has embarked on the sale of bags of rice seized from smugglers.
This is part of the Federal government’s effort to reduce hunger in the country.
The process commenced on Thursday, February 22. The bags are wrapped in 25kg sacks and are being sold at N10,000 each.
The authorities demand that each buyer must provide their National Identification Numbers NIN to ensure that only Nigerians benefit from the process.
