Abuja – The Minister of Communications, Mr Adebayo Shittu, says Nigerian business environment is encouraging for investment, especially in the area of power and telecommunications.
The minister made the remark when China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Gu Xiaojie visited him in Abuja on Tuesday.
The minister commended the ambassador for his tireless efforts in facilitating and fostering a good relationship between Nigeria and China.
Shittu said Nigeria was looking forward for more relationship with China; and that Nigeria would continue to patronise China made products.
Shittu used the opportunity to invite more Chinese companies to invest in Nigeria.
Ambassador Xiaojie commended the efforts of the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari to stabilise the economy.
Xiaojie said “Nigeria is a country full of opportunities, talents’’, and “has the capacity to be ranked among the great nations to be reckoned with.’’
He recalled his stay in Nigeria, saying that it was a fruitful one with good memories, hinting that he would soon be reassigned. (NAN)
