KADUNA – Sunday Adeleye, Chairman, Dynamic Sporting Solution (DSS) FC of Kaduna on Tuesday said all hope was not lost in getting promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Adeleye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that in spite of their poor performance in the first round of the Nigeria National league (NNL), they intended to improve.
DSS FC is one of the teams threatened by relegation after the first round of the NNL 2013/2014 season with the lowest points on the league table.
He attributed the team’s poor outing during the first round to several issues confronting them, including the management.
“In the first round, we did not perform well because we had so many issues with the league management.
“This was one of the factors that affected us, but by God’s grace, we will perform better in this second round.
“We are not even looking at escaping relegation; our focus is on getting promotion to the nation’s top flight, Globacom Premier League which we are working hard toward.
“Relegation is out of it, all hopes are not lost until the end of Week 30 match and we strongly believe and hope that we can actually gain the promotion,” he said.
Adeleye said that so far they were catching up in the second round, noting that they had won all their matches. (NAN)
