ABUJA (SUNDIATA POST)- The Nigeria Police Force has completed plans for the inauguration of its newly built barracks, buildings, and command headquarters across various states.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said that the completed projects are located in Adamawa, Sokoto, Jigawa, Nassarawa, and Katsina States, and include Police Stations, Area Command Headquarters, and office accommodations.
He said these projects aimed to create a supportive working environment for officers and improve their well-being.
According to Adejobi, the Inspector-General of Police, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, has previously inaugurated major projects, including the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre and the new Ogun State Command Headquarters.
He said the I-G had also enhanced operational capabilities by procuring new assets, including Hilux vehicles, Armored Personnel Carriers, personal protective equipment, and anti-riot equipment.
He said the assets would be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu to better equip officers to confront security challenges and serve the public effectively.
