Nigeria records 156 new cases of COVID-19, total now 64,884

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Nigeria has recorded 156 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total confirmed cases to 64,884, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said.

NCDC stated this in the report it released via twitter handle late Friday night.

According to report, the 156 new infections were recorded 11 states including the FCT as follows;

Lagos-70
FCT-22
Kaduna-18
Rivers-15
Plateau-11
Ogun-10
Bauchi-3
Katsina-3
Kano-2
Ekiti-1
Osun-1

health agency also stated 60,936 patients have been discharged across various isolation facilities in the country since the index case while 1,163 lives have been lost to the COVID-19 related ailments.
