Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Senior Special Assistant (SSA), on Igbo affairs to the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated Nigerians and the Plateau State citizens as they celebrate the independence anniversary.
The Special Assistant, Hon. Felix Akpunku JP, said Nigeria has many achievements to celebrate since independence, explaining that he is optimistic that the country’s future is brighter.
To the Plateau people who are his primary constituency, he urged them to be more patriotic and pray for the State and the Governor to sustain the current stability.
He enjoined the people of the State to continue to support the administration of Governor Mutfwang, saying that the Governor’s programme by the end of his tenure, will make the State a destination for tourism.
“I call on citizens to be more united and continue to serve their fatherland with passion and dedication”.
Akpunku also enjoined Nigerians to be law-abiding and be their brother’s keeper as the nation goes through tough times as a result of the subsidy removal by the federal government.
“I call for support for the governments at all levels, only a collective effort by the government and the governed can ensure growth and development.
“I wish Nigerians and the Plateau State citizens happy independence celebrations”, he said.
