ABUJA – A 13-year-old Nigerian girl, Soaleze, is due to release her first music album titled “The Fifth Horseman“, according to her Manager, Dili Biosah.
Biosah made the announcement on Wednesday night at the Abuja Baytown Lounge, venue of the listening party, which was organised to herald the album ahead of its launch.
In attendance were top radio and television personalities, entertainment writers and disc jockeys, who critiqued the video clip of the title track; “The 5th Horseman’’, and ‘’Ave Maria’’.
The manager said that the album, which was due for international release on the 11th Street Atlanta Records, would reach the world audience through the Universal Records distribution system.
“The album features six masterfully crafted vocal and six instrumental tracks. The music is clearly designed as an African and European crossover with a likely world and cross culture acceptance.
“The rhythm is strong and African. The string works will bring it easily to European and American delight as it aims to achieve what most Nigerian releases have truly failed to do; gain universal acceptance.
“The 5th Horseman album is destined to establish the young artiste firmly as a global player,’’ Biosah said.
The manager said that Soaleze was fast achieving international stardom, having displayed a superlative performance in Atlanta, U.S., recently.
He said that the performance earned her a sustained standing ovation from the Ambassadors of Britain, Ireland, Nigeria and the city of Atlanta’s international community.
Soaleze told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that she started developing passion for music at the age of two and that at age six, she told her father she wanted to become a musician.
The JSS3 student of The Regent Secondary School, Mabushi, Abuja, said her ambition was to follow her dream, reach the top of her music career and be a global superstar. (NAN)
