Respected broadcaster and pioneer Managing Director of Adanimogo FM in Ido-Ekiti, Layi Oyawa, has reportedly died.
According to Naija News reports, Oyawa had a long and impactful career in journalism, which began after he received professional training at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Through hard work and dedication, he rose to prominence in the media industry, particularly during his time at the Ekiti State Broadcasting Service (Radio/TV), where he became a household name.
He played a major role in the founding and growth of Adanimogo FM, helping it become a trusted media platform in Ekiti State. Under his leadership, the station focused on promoting local content, involving the community, and nurturing young talents in journalism and broadcasting.
Many of his colleagues and admirers have described his passing as a major loss to the media industry in Ekiti and across Nigeria. He was praised not only for his professionalism but also for being a mentor and father figure to many.
Oyawa is survived by his wife and children, who now mourn alongside members of the media community who deeply valued his contributions.
