Lagos – The Convener, Nigerians Unite Against Terror (NUAT), Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, on Tuesday urged the international community and the Federal Government to rise against the cruelty being meted against Nigerians in South Africa.
“We must act fast to forestall reoccurrence of such evil and to restore the dignity of the human person everywhere on the globe.
“We have watched the video clips of such heinous acts with shattered hearts. We can no longer sit down and fold our hands.
“We strongly believe that the government of the affected countries can find a quick and lasting solution to such untold hardship and loss of lives meted on our brothers and sisters in South Africa,” Odumakin said in a statement.
She noted that it was the primary responsibility of a “responsible and responsive government to ensure the protection of life and property.”
She demanded the immediate engagement with the South African Government to end the “reign of madness.”
