The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a strategic partnership with the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding (RH-NHGSF) Programme to enhance access and accountability in the school feeding initiative.
This collaboration, championed by Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director-General/CEO of NIMC, and Princess Aderemi Adebowale, the National Programme Manager of RH-NHGSF, aims to ensure that every child benefiting from the school feeding program is enrolled and assigned a National Identification Number (NIN).
According to a press statement signed by Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of the Corporate Communications Unit of NIMC, the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Mandate. The integration of NIN registration into the school feeding program is expected to promote inclusivity, enhance transparency, and improve accountability.
“This partnership is a pivotal step toward ensuring the effective implementation of the Federal Government’s school feeding initiative,” the statement noted.
The collaboration also underscores the government’s commitment to advancing Digital Public Infrastructure while improving educational and nutritional outcomes for children across Nigeria.
NIMC reaffirmed its dedication to using its expertise in identity management to drive sustainable development and equitable access to essential services for all Nigerians.
