ABUJA – The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT) has predicted cloudy weather conditions and possibly localised thunderstorms in Yola, Jalingo, Lafia, Abuja, Makurdi and Mambilla in the morning of Tuesday.
In the “Weather Outlook” issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Monday in Abuja, the agency also predicted localised thunderstorms in Minna, Bida and Ilorin in the afternoon.
“The southern coastal areas will experience cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms over the South-East coast in the morning.
“Chances of isolated rains are expected over Benin-Lagos axis in the morning and prospects of thunder showers over the region in the afternoon. [eap_ad_1] “Cloudy conditions are expected in the inland areas with localised thunderstorm over the eastern part of the region in the morning.
“Prospects of thunder showers are also expected over the region in the afternoon,” NiMet stated.
According to the forecast, the northern states will experience cloudy conditions in addition to overnight thunderstorms in the cities such as Maiduguri, Gombe, Bauchi, Kano, Katsina, Potiskum and Dutse.
It further predicted thunderstorms within the region in the afternoon and evening. (NAN)
