Abuja – The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy weather on Friday morning with localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Lokoja, Jos, Lafia and Mambila in the evening and night.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), in Abuja on Thursday, also predicted day and night temperatures of 30 to 34 and 18 to 26 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the Southern States would experience morning cloud with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the inland cities of Akure, Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Ibadan, Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Awka, Obudu and Abakaliki.
It also predicted prospects of thunderstorms in the evening and night with day and night temperatures of 31 to 34 and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with chances of localised thunderstorms around Sokoto and Bauchi in the afternoon and evening.
“The region will also have day and night temperatures of 35 to 42 and 23 to 28 degrees Celsius respectively.
“With a continuous incursion of moisture laden winds, the country’s weather is favourable for activities in some selected cities over the next 48 hours”, NiMet predicted.
