Abuja – The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted dust haze with weather visibility of about 1000 metres in the central states on Sunday, Dec. 21.
This is contained in a Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) in Abuja on Saturday.
According to the forecast, the northern states will experience dust haze with visibility greater than 2000 meters in most places in the morning hours.
The forecast also stated that visibility would deteriorate in the region towards the evening hours to local visibility of less than 1000 metres at locations in the North-East.
“The southern coastal areas will experience misty conditions in the morning hours and cloudy conditions with slight chances of localised rain showers.
“The rain showers are expected over few places such as Eket and Calabar along the South-East coast during the afternoon period.
“Hazy conditions are expected in the inland areas during the forecast period”, NiMet stated. (NAN)
