Abuja (Sundiata Post) – President of the 10th Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio has said that sunspended Senator Abdul Ningi will join them in the senate in few days.
Akpabio stated this on Thursday shortly after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from Geneva, Switzerland while fielding questions from journalists.
Akpabio who was asked to react to a letter from Senator Abdul Ningi asking him to reinstate him within seven day or face court action, said that Ningi’s suspension was a parliamentary decision and that he has not seen the letter yet. But Senator Ningi is one of us, so what is suspension, we expect that in few days he will join us, so it is not a problem.
Sundiata Post recalls that Senate president arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe Abuja International Airport at exactly 6: 05pm from the Geneva Switzerland where he attended the 148th Assembly of Inter-Paliamentary Union.
According to Akpabio, a lot of bilateral discussions with other parliamentarians in Africa and across the globe took place which will bring co-operation and benefits in diverse ways.
