ABUJA – Alexander Ajidiku, a scientific officer with National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), said on Tuesday that the organisation was at the forefront of driving technology in the country.
He disclosed this at NITDA’s head office in Abuja, during a media chat with newsmen while displaying “made in Nigeria solar panel’’.
Alexander said the panel was one of the latest locally assembled technologies that the organisation was proud to display.
This solar panel is “a taste of made in Nigeria’’ product which meets the need of Nigerians. [eap_ad_1] “We are reaching out to the grass-roots, the rural areas where the challenge of power supply is enormous,’’ he said
Ajidiku said the portable mobile solar panel could be transported easily and used anywhere and anytime.
“It is portable and is on tyres; so it can be moved around to different locations easily. It can also be used for e-learning.
“This product is for people to have uninterrupted power supply all the time, and it is proudly made in Nigeria.’’
According to him, NITDA will ensure that the standard and quality of the product is not compromised.
“This office is where the products are brought to be tested to determine their standard and quality. We will make sure that the product remains of the highest quality.
“We will continue to develop and establish IT infrastructure and find ways to maximise its use nationwide for the benefit of all Nigerians,’’ he added. (NAN)[eap_ad_4]
