Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Former Aviation Minister and Campaign Director on Media and Publicity of the People’s Democratic Party at the 2015 general election, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was on Tuesday barred from entering the court room in solidarity with the Ingenious People of Biafra Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The IPOB leader, Nnmadi Kanu was in court for hearing on his bail application filed at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Fani-Kayode who appeared at the court premises in the company of his wife and security details said he was glad that the IPOB leader got bail.
Disclosing this on his twitter handle @realFFK Tuesday, the former Minister of Culture and Tourism said, “My wife, security details and I were barred from entering the court room when we tried to show solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu. Glad he got bail”, he added.
Sundiata Post recalls that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday March 20, fixed April 25 (today), to decide whether or not the detained leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu should be released on bail pending his trial.
IPOB leader, Nwannekaenyi “Nnamdi” Kenny Okwu Kanu was arrested in Lagos on 14 October, 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari-led government and has been held in Kuje prison since then despite various court orders that ruled for his release.
