Abuja- Tunde Shamsudeen, the Media Officer of Prime Football Club of Osogbo, on Friday said the Nigeria National League (NNL) side had released eight players into the transfer market.
Shamsudeen told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the club also retained 20 players from its squad of last season.
He said the club would hold a three-day tournament at the Oshogbo Township Stadium, to serve as trials for the state-born players in rural communities in Osun.
“We will use the tournament to scout for exceptional players in the state, who can break into the team ahead of the 2014/2015 league season.
“The club will also organise friendly games to ascertain the level of the players’ cohesion and fitness as part of preparations for the new season,’’ the media officer said.
