NNPCL reduces petrol price

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has lowered the pump price of petrol at its filling stations.

On Saturday, NNPCL stations in locations such as Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4 began selling petrol at N910 per litre. This represents a reduction of N30 from the earlier price of N945 per litre.

This price cut comes shortly after Dangote Refinery reduced its ex-depot price from N880 to N840 per litre, following a drop in global crude oil prices.

Independent fuel marketers have also adjusted their prices. In Abuja, petrol now sells for between N930 and N940 per litre, compared to the previous range of N945 to N975.

In Lagos, the price has gone down to N890 from N925.

These changes are a result of the decline in international crude oil prices, which is beginning to affect fuel prices in the Nigerian market.
