The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced the shutdown of operations at the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) starting May 24, 2025, for a scheduled maintenance exercise.
The move aims to enhance the refinery’s performance and ensure long-term operational sustainability.
NNPC Ltd stated that it is working closely with relevant stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to ensure the maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and transparently. The company assured that regular updates will be provided through official channels to keep the public informed throughout the maintenance period.
