The Federal Government has said that no country has ever won terror war overnight.
Information Minister Labaran Maku said this today while fielding questions from State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan.
He described terrorism as a guerilla warfare which, according to him, is not easily won because of the facelessness of the enemies.

The minister was specifically responding to a question on what the government made of the threat messages of terrorist attacks being circulated in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
“There is no country where terrorism has become an issue that it has disappeared over night. It has been on in Pakistan and Iraq for over 10 years now. In spite of the coalition of forces led by the United States of America in Pakistan, the Talibans have not disappeared”, he said.
Maku, however, parried a question on the latest efforts by the government to find the over 200 schoolgirls of Chibok, Borno State, who were abducted by the Boko Haram sect on April 14.
Maku merely reminded the journalists of the existence of an information centre established by the government to provide daily information on the issue.
The minister also cautioned the media, especially the newspapers, of unduly promoting terrorist activities.
According to him, the media is rather expected to sensitize and educate Nigerians on the need to be vigilant.
“What terrorists want is too much publicity in newspapers, and we are giving too much of that to them. What I have found out is that the objective (of terrorists) is to create panic for members of the public. I want to appeal to the media to let us get to know what we are confronting. The most important role of the media in this country today is to educate Nigerians on the need for vigilance”, he said. (Daily Trust)
