Kaduna – The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged the media and traditional rulers to help sensitize potential voters in Kaduna State to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.
Alhaji Zubairu Galadima, the NOA Director in the state made the appeal in a statement issued in Kaduna on Friday.
He said that those who attain the age of 18 and others who did not register in the past should take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration to get their voter cards.
According to him, those who registered but have issues with their voter cards during previous elections should also register.
“Or those who for one reason or the another were not able to register before and also those who left their previous location of the registration.”
He said that the exercise was going on smoothly in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
The NOA director warned against registering by proxy, saying ” it is pertinent for people to present themselves for the registration.”
He explained that the permanent voter cards would be ready three months after registration.
Galadima appealed to media organisations, political parties, civil societies, politicians and traditional rulers to join NOA in sensitising and mobilizing more people to register.
