PORT HARCOURT – Mr Oliver Wolugbom, the Rivers State Director of the National Orientation Agency ( NOA), has commended the state and the Federal Governments for fighting the Ebola Virus Disease.
Wolugbom made the commendation on Wednesday in Port Harcourt during an Ebola road walk sensitisation programme.
He said the state and the federal governments had achieved great success in containing the outbreak of the disease.
The director also commended international agencies and other bodies who assisted in the fight against Ebola virus in the state.[eap_ad_2]
He said that from the beginning of the outbreak of the disease, NOA had been carrying out sensitisation programmes for the masses.
The NOA boss noted that for now, there was no Ebola in the state.
Wolugbom decried the negative attitude by the public toward victims of Ebola who had been screened and discharged.
He advised the people to stop stigmatising those screened and discharged from quarantine centres.
He said that NOA was in every local government area to sensitise the people at the grassroots to make them live a healthy life. ( NAN)[eap_ad_3]
