Kaduna – The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has appealed to the people in Kaduna State to eschew violence and embrace dialogue to ensure peaceful coexistence.
The State Director of the agency, Zubairu Galadima made the appeal in a statement signed by the Public Relation’s Officer of the agency, Patricia Onoja.
According to the director, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity are required to attain meaningful development in any society
He said peace is a fragile commodity that needs to be nurtured always.
“No society can make any developmental progress if it’s citizens refuse to imbibe the culture of tolerance, peace, love and dialogue in resolving their differences.
“The effect of violence on the society is enormous as it slows the pace of economic and social development, and makes the living condition of people unbearable,” he added.
Galadima stressed that conflicts undermines the credibility of nations and erode its prosperity.
The NOA director appealed to parents to strive at all times to instill the tenets of civic and peaceful conduct in their children.
The News Agency of Nigeria [NAN] report that NOA plans to hold community peace dialogue in all the 255 political wards across the 23 local government areas of the state, to further push for peaceful coexistence.
