The renowned comic actor passed away on Friday while receiving treatment at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Subsequently, his body was transported from Ogbomoso to Iwo, where prayers were conducted in an open field near his residence before his interment. The burial ceremony, attended by a large crowd of residents, colleagues, and well-wishers, took place in front of his house in the Agbowo Area of Iwo.
Toyin Olaiya, the former governor of the Association of Nigeria Theater Art Practitioners in Osun State, revealed that Sisi Quadri fell ill while working on a film set. Olaiya, who led the first theater group that Quadri joined in Iwo, expressed shock at the news, stating that he was unaware of the severity of the illness when he first learned about it.
Sisi Quadri’s cause of death has been linked to kidney-related issues, as disclosed by blogger Seun Oloketuyi on Instagram. Born on December 25, 1979, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Sisi Quadri made a significant impact on Nigerian Nollywood films, gaining prominence about a decade ago. Known for his comedic roles, especially in movies like “Seranko Seniyan,” he entertained audiences with his performances in popular films such as “Aje Ni Eegun,” “Iya Oko Mi,” and “Omo Iya Oko.”
