Nollywood idol Bukky Ajayi buried amidst tributes‎


LAGOS – On Wednesday, July 6, the Nigerian entertainment industry lost thespian Omobukola Zainab Ajayi popularly known as Bukky Ajayi to death.

The actress, who was a Muslim before her death has already been buried at the Atan Cemetery in Lagos according to Islamic rites.

However, Nollywood stars have taken to their social media pages to pay tribute to the late screen idol.

“I can never forget this moment….We should celebrate, appreciate, honour ourselves whilst we are still alive.. Life is too short for bitterness, negativity. Mama Bukky Ajayi ur legacy will continue to live on…thanks for sharing ur gift with the world. ADIEU MA,” Mercy Aigbe’s eulogy reads.

Stella Damasus wrote, “Rest well MAMI BUKKY. You have lived well. I will celebrate your inspirational life and legacy. No need for the tears. You will always be our mum and our STAR.”

Muyiwa Ademola wrote, “Sleep on mama …. We love you but God loves you more. No matter how nice, no matter how beautiful, no matter how accommodating, no matter how religious, no matter how kind one could be, we shall all taste DEATH but be good always because of the last day. Mama’s was a life well spent. Love you always mama.”

“Bye bye aunty mine as you go through ‘the open doors’ to your Heavenly Father. Adieu”, wrote Joke Silva.
