KANO – League leaders Kano Pillars Football Club on Wednesday beat visiting Kaduna United FC 2-1 in a week 35 match of the 2013/2014 The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
In the match played at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Kaduna United opened scoring in the 16th minute through Onuh Emmanuel after Pillars’ goalkeeper Joel Afelokhai spilled the ball.
Mannir Ubale restored parity for the home team in the 44th minute with a superb goal, while Rabiu Ali gave them the lead in the 81st minute.
At the post-match briefing, Pillars’ head coach, Okey Emordi , said he was pleased with the performance of his players.
“I am pleased with the performance of our players, even though we missed many scoring chances,’’ he said.(NAN)
