NPFL: Plateau United beat hosts Kano Pillars in Kaduna


Visiting Plateau United Football Club of Jos on Sunday beat hosts Kano Pillars 1-0 in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match played in Kaduna. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kano Pillars, who are currently playing their home matches in Kaduna, lost through Sunday Anthony’s 82nd minute goal from a header.

Kano Pillars were unable to convert the several goalscoring chances they had, to the disappointment of their fans and officials. The supporters did not fail to express their anger, and at a point tension was so palpable that the club’s Chief Coach, Salisu Yusuf, had to be shielded from being attacked.NAN reports that Kano Pillars drew at home with Remo Stars of Ikenne during their match day 10 fixture and lost to Dakkada FC on match day 11.Plateau United are now second on the league table with 24 points, behind Rivers Utd with 25 points, while Kano Pillars are now in the 14th position with 14 points
