NRFF attributes Nigeria current ranking to collective efforts

Lagos – The Rugby Football (NRFF) has attributed Nigeria’s current ranking in Africa and the world team work and commitment shown by .

“For to climb five spots to be ranked 73rd in the world and 11th in Africa is mean feat,” the NRFF Vice President, Tunji Fasimoye, said in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.

Nigeria ranked 81st in the world and 13th in Africa, prior to the 2014 Africa Cup Nations 1C.

The Black Stallions placed third behind Botswana and Mauritius and quickly climbed three places to 78th after the tournament.

The statement quoted the Vice President of the NRFF, Fasimoye, as commending the efforts of the federation, the media, and stakeholders for the feat.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]

“Achieving so much since the inauguration of the NRFF board less than years ago is commendable.

“Without stakeholders collective effort, such achievements will not have been possible,” the statement quoted Fasimoye as saying.

It said the vice president lauded the senior national team, captained by Azeez Ladipo, for representing the country well whenever they were called upon to serve the nation. (NAN)
