KADUNA -The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said on Friday that it had beefed up security in Kaduna to ensure that residents had a peaceful Eid-el Fitr celebration.
The Public Relations Officer of NSCDC in the state, Mr Micheal Oguntuase, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Oguntuase said that the command had deployed “virtually all its officers to places of worship, recreational places, parks and other places to ensure a Sallah celebration without hitches”.[eap_ad_1]
Security operatives were seen at various places within the metropolis.
The tightened security might not be unconnected with Wednesday’s twin blasts in the city.
Kaduna, regarded by many as the melting point of commercial and political interests in the northern part of the country has recorded some security breaches in the recent past. (NAN)[eap_ad_4]
