Gombe – Three persons have been nabbed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly stealing 45 ceiling fans in Gombe.
Mr Obafaiye Shem, NCSDC Commandant in the state, told newsmen on Wednesday that 31 out of the 45 fans had been recovered from the suspects.
Shem gave their names as Abdulrahaman Idris, James Moses and Maigari Mohammed, all of Gombe metropolis.
According to him, Abdulrahaman Idris, the principal suspect, has already been convicted and is currently serving a jail term, while the remaining two persons were still in NSCDC custody.
He said the two suspects would be charged to court after investigation, while a fourth suspect, name withheld, was still at large.
Shem said officers of the Corps arrested the suspects while stealing the fans at Government Science Secondary School One and Two, Gombe.
He said the command had also arrested Bello Yahaya of British Cotton Ginnery Area (BCGA), Gombe, for allegedly stealing 25 bags of pipe worth N120,000.
He said the matter was being investigated and the suspect would be charged to court thereafter. (NAN)
