Enugu – Nsukka United FC on Thursday bashed Opi United FC 3-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the ongoing Federation Cup in Enugu State.
Nsukka Utd scored their first goal through Mathew Chisom in the 15th minute while the second goal was scored by Chukwuebuka Igwe in the 54th minute.

sealed the victory for Nsukka Utd in the 61st minute to berth his team in the quarter final stage.
In the other match of the day, Zola FC of Awkunanaw, Enugu overpowered Olican Rivers FC of Independence Layout, Enugu 3-2 on penalties after the match ended 2-2.
The hero of the day was Zola’s goalkeeper, Ogbaji Chidiebere, who stopped four penalties from Olican players.
Speaking after the matches, Nsukka Utd coach, Chika Obasi, praised his players’ commitment and adherence to the technical instructions.
The coach said that before the Federation Cup, he set a target for his team and that they must achieve the target. (NAN)
