LAGOS – Mrs Chioma Ibe, the Deputy Director, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) on Monday said the organisation would hold annual heritage festival to woo Nigerians in the Diaspora.
Ibe told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the decision was part of the measures to make Nigerians in the Diaspora to contribute more to the nation’s socio-economic development.
“The festival will be celebrated at the point of no return which served as their prison yard then, “ Ibe said.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Ibe said that it was unfortunate the way operations of fake tour companies in the country had adversely affected the growth of domestic tourism.

“The foreign tourists blame the lapses of tour operators on NTDC.
“As Nigerians, we all need to be conscious and protective of our status and reputation,” she told NAN.
She commended the effort of NTDC Director-General, Mrs Sally Mbanefo, who she said had done a lot to improve the staff welfare.
