Minna – Malam Usman Aliyu, Ward Head, Nuatuko, in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger, on Tuesday, implored the State Government to provide the community with potable water and access roads.
Aliyu made the appeal during interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Nuatuko.
“The problem of our village has been lack of potable water and the deplorable condition of the road linking the village with Bosso’’, he said.
He said the only source of water in the community was from Dagbai stream, three kilometres away from the village.
The ward head said the immediate past administration in the state had promised the community a borehole on four different occasions but could not fulfill the promise.
“We identified two locations in the village for the purpose of drilling the borehole but up till now, we have not seen anything’’, he said.

He added that the main road linking the village with Bosso was in a deplorable condition, adding that, “right now, it is not passable, especially in this rainy season.
“It is not easy to convey sick people to Bosso to access health facility.’’
NAN observed that transportation to the village was only possible with the use of motorcycles.
He said that children trekked long distance to attend school in Bosso, resulting in poor academic performance.
