NUC approves 17 masters, 4 PGD programmes for Taraba University

JALINGO – The Taraba State University, on Friday, said that the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved 17 Masters and four Post Graduate Degree Programmes for the institution.
The Chief Information and Protocol Officer of the university, Alhaji Sanusi Sa’ad, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jalingo that some of the programmes were: M.A. History, M.Sc. Ecology and Conservation, M. Ed Measurement and Evaluation, PGD Agronomy and Farm Management.
He said the approval followed a resource evaluation visit to the institution by the NUC panel of experts on some proposed postgraduate academic programmes.
He added that the NUC had directed that the programmes should start from the 2014/2015 academic session.
Sa’ad said the Governing Council of the institution, at its 13th Regular Session held on Nov. 13, also approved the take-off of the programme. (NAN)
