NUJ lauds Badaru for appointing Ali as MD, Radio Jigawa

Dutse – The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has commended Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa for appointing Alhaji Mati Ali as the Managing Director of Radio Jigawa.

The commendation is contained in a statement signed by the National Secretary of the union, Mr Shuaibu Leman, and made available to newsmen on Friday in Dutse.

“The NUJ national secretariat sincerely commends His excellency, Governor Badaru for putting a round peg in a round hole in the appointment of Alhaji Mati Ali as the Managing Director, Radio Jigawa,” the statement said.

It said the Union is confident that as seasoned professional, Ali would ensure improvement in the services of the station.

“Sir, we are confident that with this appointment of a seasoned professional, there will be improvement in the services to the people of Jigawa, and even beyond,” it added.

The statement pledged to support the governor in his programmes and policies geared towards developing the state.

“While extending our profound appreciation to the Governor, we wish to reassure His Excellency of our support at all times,” the union said. (NAN)
