KADUNA – The Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI), an NGO, has called on the incoming governments at all levels to embark on social sector reforms to promote the country’s health services delivery.
This is contained in a statement signed by the organisation’s Chairman, Malam Shehu Makarfi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Kaduna.
The statement appealed to the Federal and the Kaduna State Governments to introduce a budget-line for Child Birth Spacing and Family Planning.
It also urged local government councils in Kaduna state to release the N2 million budgetary allocation for Child Birth Spacing and Family Planning.

The Kaduna based NGO assured the state government of its readiness to collaborate in improving quality of life of its citizens.
“NURHI is an advisory body on Social Sector issues, particularly on Reproductive Health matters.
“It consists of 25-member Associations with various and related thematic focus on the Social Sector and Health.
“It wishes all elected officials the strong will to deliver on their promises and the wisdom and capacity to respond to the aspirations and expectations of the people,’’ it said. (NAN)
