“I’m really excited with my goal. I had stayed positive before the commencement of the game and it really paid off. I can’t believe we beat them like that, but I am very happy because it is a good way to start the season. I’m very proud of my teammates, my coaches and the fans. It’s impossible to explain my feelings,” Nwaiwu told Goal.com.
Ifeanyi Ubah FC travel to Sunshine Stars for their next game and the 21-year-old midfield whiz is sure the Akure Gunners are beatable.
“We are going there for a win because we know what is at stake. If we can subdue a star studded Warri Wolves, I see no reason why we should be scared of Sunshine Stars,” he concluded.
