Abuja  –   Babagana Kalli, the Chairman ad hoc Committee of the Nigeria Women Football League has said that the League would be given greater attention henceforth.

He said this at the League’s annual congress held in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the ad hoc committee was set up by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to oversee the affairs of the league in February.

Kalli said that the NFF was ready to address the imbalance of the game witnessed in female league.

He added that “we have also listened to the cries and pains of the league and we are ready to address the imbalance of soccer noticed in the women league as against their male counterparts.

“Henceforth, the league will be given greater attention and I will do all within my powers as an executive member of the NFF to ensure we achieved that.”

The chairman congratulated members for producing players who made the country proud in various international competitions.

He, however, urged members to work in the interest of the game while the 2015/2016 season was expected to begin in May 21. (NAN)
