On the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State from seeking re-election, I want to go and watch The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Remember when Tuco was arrested for multiple offences?
He was thrown on the floor and he said, “one bastard goes in, another comes out”.
Do I care? No!
The only thing I can say is that the governor is very naive.
- You went to meet Tinubu. Why?
- You went to meet president Muhammadu Buhari. Why?
- You boasted that a thousand Oshiomholes cannot stop you from recontesting. He has, at least for now.
- Will you now jump ship and contest under another party? They will rig you out.
- So, what do you do?
- Just fight on and go down fighting.
- You shouldn’t have fought your godfather.
- Without him you wouldn’t have been governor.
- Politicians don’t learn.
- You should have learnt from Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos.
- Plan your exit.
- Don’t appeal to public sympathy because all of you are the same.
- The electorate don’t have a hand on who becomes governor; politicians do.
- And the head for now is that diminutive Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.
- He fought his own battles, begged and had his coveted position back.
- It’s your turn to fight. But it’s too late.
- Forget the courts. They’re under the command of your party. And they don’t want you.
- So long, Your Excellency.
