‘Obey stay-at-home rule’, Edo govt appeals to residents

Benin – Government on appealed to its residents to obey the partial shutdown rules laid down to help curtail the spread epidemic.

Deputy Governor, Mr Philip Shaibu made the appealed when he addressed newsmen Government House, Benin.

According to him, we went round today to monitor compliance to partial shutdown and some are still trading on commodities other food items.

“Some traders are still trading on commodities other food and this act is unacceptable.

For his part, the -South coordinator of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Wale Famiyesin urged the to kindly obey the shutdown rules, adding that this would help in curbing the spread of .
