SANGO-OTA – A former national player, Segun Odegbami, has commended the Super Eagles’ victory against the Red Devils of Congo in the Africa Nations Cup qualifier played on Saturday in Pointe Noire.
Odegbami told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview on Sunday in Ota that the Super Eagles in their quest to getting an away victory put up a good performance.
NAN reports that the Super Eagles beat Congo 2-0 in Pointe Noire while South African beat Sudan by 2-1 to maintain leadership of the group.
“The revival between Super Eagles and the Red Devils of Congo has just started and the Nigerian team need to sustain the dominance,’’ he said.
He said that the Super Eagles were capable of surprising Nigerians when they find themselves in a tight situation such as that adding that it should be a lesson to the technical crew. (NAN)
