ABEOKUTA (SUNDIATA POST)- Ogun governor, Dapo Abiodun, has urged corporate organisations to partner with his administration to enhance the quality of life for the people.

This is contained in a statement issued on Friday by Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

The governor, while inaugurating the Abeokuta branch of Premium Trust Bank, urged the bank to impact the state through meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

He noted that the bank has previously contributed to national development by sponsoring sports initiatives and youth empowerment programmes across Nigeria.

Abiodun cited the National Sports Festival in Delta and the ongoing Gateway Games in Ogun as examples of such contributions.

He said, “Let Premium Trust Bank’s actions be a CSR blueprint. It must form a core part of your business philosophy.”

He stressed that corporate relevance should be measured not only by profit but by support for education, health, small businesses, and the environment.

According to him, the increase in banking institutions is boosting economic activity and aligning with the state’s sustainable development goals.

Abiodun commended the bank for embracing financial inclusivity and innovation, distinguishing itself in just three years of operations.

He thanked the bank for supporting the state’s bid to host the National Sports Festival and promised continued collaboration with genuine investors.

The Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola, praised the administration for creating a business-friendly environment that has driven industrial growth in recent years.

He welcomed the bank’s entry into the state’s financial sector, urging others to invest and benefit from the enabling environment.

Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Mr Bukola Olopade, praised the bank’s sponsorship during the festival’s bidding and for endorsing local sports talent.

Managing Director of the bank, Mr Emmanuel Efe Emefienim, described the new branch as a milestone, noting the bank now operates 22 branches nationwide.

He added that as lead sponsor of the Gateway Games, the bank has developed a digital platform aligned with the financial needs of Ogun residents. (NAN)
