Ogun ready for partnership—commissioner

ABEOKUTA -The Ogun State Government on Thursday  said  the state was ready to partner with any individual or group willing to collaborate with it in its quest to rebuild the state.

Mr Yusuph Olaniyonu, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, made this known in Abeokuta while hosting members of the executive council of Abeokuta Sports Club 1904.

Olaniyonu said government would welcome  suggestions, advice  and constructive criticisms which would  further enhance the socio-economic condition of the people.

He said  the various developmental initiatives  of  the Gov. Ibikunle Amosun-led administration needed the support and contributions from different strata of the society.

The commissioner said that government remained resolute in its bid  to turn around the fortunes of the state and enhance  its socio-economic growth.

He canvassed that  social groups  should also aspire to be a platform for gauging perception of government’s performance  and help in ensuring successful implementation of   policies and programmes.

Earlier, the President of the club, Mr Tunde Aregbesola, had commended the commissioner for the professionalism with which the ministry had been handling  information dissemination.

Aregbesola solicited government’s support for the club’s 110th year anniversary celebration coming up later in the year. (NAN)
