Warri Wolves’ Onyekachi Okafor has expressed delight at his invitation to the Super Eagles’ double header with the Cranes of Uganda and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana slated for today and Sunday in Uyo and Nelspruit respectively.
The former Crown FC striker told Goal exclusively that he is elated with his invitation and can’t wait to resume training with the senior national team for him to seize the initiative presented him with both hands.
Okafor was invited as a last minute replacement for injured West Bromwich Albion forward, Brown Aide Ideye but the striker says he sees the call up as his own turn to contribute his quota to the development of his country and the senior national team.

“I am happy with the invitation and it was the reason I ensured I stopped all other things I was doing to honour this invitation. It is an opportunity for me and I intend using it to my advantage so as to get another call up next time,” Onyekachi told Goal.
